Why turn off portrait mode? Latest update has turn off portrait mode for tablets why?
This is a ripoff, you have to buy the app and on top of that pay a subscription fee that's nearly twice the cost to use the wireless feature, it's totally not worth it. It's laggy and the screen resolution doesn't adjust to fill the whole display.
Massive lag and flickering made it unusable. Deleted app.
See original review below this one. After getting in touch with support, over the course of a little over a week, with some very helpful questions and back and forth I can confidently say this app is awesome with ZERO lag. Wired hooks up quickly and is literally zero lag for me. Wireless takes a sec to settle, once the connection is established it is as close to zero lag as possible (might just be my imagination). The support team had me try some new versions and it all works great now. Very happy with my purchase and with the team as a whole. 5 stars for the app AND for the Team. Thank you! Original Review: Definitely not zero lag. Running an M1 Macbook Air and a Tab S8 Ultra wired and lag is pretty significant. Disappointing to say the least. Can't recommend the app to anyone looking.
Really happy with it! Using with a Galaxy Tab S6 and a Mac Pro 2017 with the cable.
Not as advertised, the lag is so noticable. When framerate was lowered to 30fps, it barely made it better. Not worth $13.98. Might as well use the iPad's built in function for a shared display :-(
The software was buggy when initially bought the software 3months ago. It had interoperability issues with M1Mac and was unusable. Many attempts were made to get it to work to no avail. I worked with the dev team but they didn't provide the fix I needed. But finally I contacted the dev team again in March.2022 and the support team member was very helpful and responsive. After sending in logs and diagnostic information them, they found a fix and is now, near native experience when wired
This is useful when I do online presentation with PowerPoint's presentor mode.
5-stars based on support received to get Duet working with my M1 MBP and an ancient Samsung Tab S2. Initial download really dodgy - intermittent fuzzy display on the Tab in wireless mode, very noticeable cursor lag even when wired. After several back-and-forth emails with the support team I was provided with a beta version (soon to release, they say) that resolved the fuzzy display and greatly improved the cursor lag. Not cured, but now quite useable. This was the last hang-up I've had transitioning from a Windows to Mac. The wireless connection is now very close to what I experienced with my Windows laptop and Spacedesk.
Not that good for Android.
